Adulteration of beverages (including alcohol) and edible oils is a major issue in India with significant impact to fiscal as well as public health & safety. Lab based testing methods are cumbersome, time-consuming and open to tampering through sample / report switching.

We partnered with an innovative startup to design and engineer a cost-effective, portable optical spectroscope powered by an AI-driven detection engine. The handheld solution enables real-time identification of adulteration across a wide range of consumables – including dairy products, edible oils, and beverages- delivering rapid, accurate results directly at the point of inspection.
